Objective: This study was carried out to examine the phenological, vegetative and fruit quality characteristics of 'Alata Yildizi'×'Bebeco' (AY×B) hybrids in the apricot breeding plot located at the Alata Horticultural Research Institute (Erdemli/Mersin) land. Material and Methods: In the study, 18 individuals of 'Alata Yildizi' and 'Bebeco' cultivars and their hybrids were examined in 2017 and 12 individuals in 2018. Apricot descriptor prepared by UPOV was used to examine the vegetative characteristics of the parents and hybrid individuals. In the study, first blooming, full blooming, end of blooming and harvest date, fruit quality characteristics, and fruit skin color characteristics were measured as L, a*, b*, C, and h° values from the phenological observations of parent and hybrid individuals. Results and Discussion: As a result, AY×B5 and AY×B11 hybrids were found promising in terms of earliness by ripening their fruits before 10th of May. In general, the phenological, vegetative, and fruit skin color traits of the parents were within the class ranges. However, it was determined that the fruit weight of the hybrids was lower than that of the parents. Conclusion: It is thought that in order to produce better fruit color in the early genotypes obtained from the AYxB combination, these genotypes can be crossed with red colored cultivars and backcrossed studies can be done.
