Özet

The place names used by poets in Oboman poetry are sometimes of a standard and general character, while sometimes they are historical, social and local. In the poetry of almost all the classical poets, common, imaginary and (or) mythical geographies such as Khoten, China, Bedakhshan, Egypt, India and Mount Kaf are used as decorative elements. The geography where the poets are born, grow up, live, serve, or spend some time for various reasons is local. The centre of this local geography is mostly Istanbul. Istanbul offers the richest and most outstanding examples of "literature based on place names" with many poems titled city eulogies, şehrengiz, sâhil-nâme, mesâir-nâme, miyâhiyye, dergâh-nâme or hânkâh-nâme, sûkiyye or mahalle-nâme. One of these poems was wriben by Edirneli Kâmî (d. 1724). The poem, titled "Sûkiyye-i Nâ-tamâm" in the published Divan, is also included in the journal of poems numbered 3004 in the Istanbul University Library Turkish Manuscripts and a journal of poems in our library. Remarkably, the poem is also called mahalle-nâme or bilâdiye in related journals and also semtiyye and lügaz in other studies. Two poets having the pseudonyms Lebîb and Âsım wrote an addendum to the poem, which mentioned the neighbourhoods of Istanbul. The study aims to determine the genre of the poem which is titled with three different genres in the existing copies and the addenda wriben to the poem. In the study, Kâmî's poem and its addenda have been evaluated in terms of structure, content, genre, language and expression; both the transcriptions and the original texts of the poems have been presented to the researchers. As a result of the study, it has been determined by analysing the place names that Kâmî's poem about the neighbourhoods of Istanbul and its addenda were wriben in the genre of "mahalle-nâme" and that they are a continuation of the "bilâdiye" tradition in terms of language and expression.
