Özet

Bullying was first studied by psychologists during the 1980s and later in the organizational psychology literature in the 1990s. Leymann (1996) and Zapf et al. (1996) defined bullying as, “actions that occur, repeatedly and systematically, within equal or unequal power structures, aimed at a certain person who experiences this discrimination”. This research aims to find whether there are differences among the health personnel in TRNC. Those who settled in Cyprus after 1974 are referred to as ‘from Turkey’ and those who settled before 1974 are called Turkish Cypriot in terms of bullying on the basis of identity with respect to cultural, historical, political, sociological and geographical differences. In this study the data is collected by a survey. The participants are 322 people who work at state hospitals in Lefkoşa, Gazimağusa and Girne. According to the results although no differences were between individuals who considered  themselves “from Turkey” and the one’s who considered themselves “Cypriot Turk” in terms of bullying; bullying that differs in terms of identity has been found.
