Amaç – Bu çalışmanın amacı Nevşehir ilindeki turistik restoranların Covid-19 salgınından nasıl etkilendiklerini belirlemektir.Yöntem – Nevşehir ilinde 10-16 Haziran 2020 tarihleri arasında 16 turistik restoran işletmecisinden görüşme yöntemiyle veri toplanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırmada kullanılan “içerik ve betimsel analiz” yöntemleri uygulanmıştır. Turistik restoran işletmecilerinin Covid-19 salgınından nasıl etkilendikleri araştırmanın ana problemini oluşturmaktadır. Bu ana problem çerçevesinde araştırmaya katılan turistik restoran işletmecilerine Covid-19 salgınından nasıl etkilendikleri, bu süreçte neler yaşadıkları ve süreç bittiğinde restoranlarda ne gibi değişiklikler olacağı sorulmuştur.Bulgular – Yapılan analizler sonucunda Covid-19 salgınının turistik restoran işletme ve işletmecilerini maddi ve manevi açıdan etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Covid-19 salgını sonrasında ise restoran işletmecileri bu sürecin devam edeceğini hijyen, sosyal mesafe, oturma düzeni, havalandırma sistemi ve tek kullanımlık ürünlerin kullanımı gibi restoranlara bazı yaptırımların gelebileceğini düşünmektedir.Tartışma – Araştırmaya katılan turistik restoran işletmecileri, restoranların Covid-19 sürecini en az hasarla atlatabilmesi ve ileriki süreçte devamlılığını sağlayabilmesi için turistik restoranlara devlet desteği sağlanması, kredi imkânları sunulması, kiraların ertelenmesi konularında yardımcı olunması gerektiği önerilerinde bulunmuştur.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to determine how touristic restaurants in Nevşehir wereaffected by the Covid-19 outbreak. Design/methodology/approach – Data were collected by interview method from 16 touristicrestaurant operators in Nevşehir between 10-16 June 2020. The main problem of the research is howtouristic restaurant operators are affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. Within the framework of thismain problem, touristic restaurant operators who participated in the study were asked how theywere affected by the Covid-19 outbreak, what they experienced in this process, and what changeswill occur in restaurants when the process is over. Findings – As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the Covid-19 outbreak affected thetourist restaurant businesses and operators financially and morally. After Covid-19, restaurantoperators think that this process will continue and that some sanctions may come to restaurants suchas hygiene, social distance, seating arrangement, ventilation system and the use of disposableproducts. Discussion – The touristic restaurant operators participating in the study made suggestions thatthey should be assisted in providing state support to touristic restaurants, providing creditopportunities and delaying rents in order for the restaurants to overcome the Covid-19 process withthe least damage and to ensure its continuity in the future.
