Abstract

Honey bee queens in Hatay, Turkey, were investigated to reveal the status of Deformed Wing Virus (DWV) and parasites. DWV, Nosema sp., Malpighamoeba mellificae, and Varroa destructor-were detected among samples. This is the first record of DWV in honey bee queens with multiple parasitic infections in apiaries with collapsed colonies in Turkey. © IBRA 2009.
