Bu araştırmanın amacı üstün yetenek tanısı konulmuş ve bilim sanat merkezine devam eden yedinci sınıf öğrencilerinin fen bilimleri dersi öğrenim sürecine yönelik görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden fenomenoloji kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2018-2019 eğitim ve öğretim yılında Hatay Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi’ne devam eden on öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmış ve elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmadan elde edilen veriler içerik, öğrenme süreci ve değerlendirme olmak üzere üç tema altında toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ışığında öğrenciler için en kolay konuların biyoloji içerikli, en zor konuların ise fizik içerikli konular olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca öğrenme ve öğretme sürecinde öğrencilerin en çok uygulamalı etkinlikler yapılmasını ve görselliğin daha fazla ön planda olduğu materyallerin kullanılmasını istedikleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Öğrenciler değerlendirme sürecinde daha çok mantık ve bilgi kullanımını sağlayacak sorular sorulması gerektiğini ifade etmişlerdir.
The purpose of this research is to determine the opinions of seventh grade gifted students attending the science-art center on the learning process of science lessons. Phenomenology from the qualitative research designs was used in the research. The sample of the study consists of 10 volunteer students attending Hatay Science and Art Center in 2018-2019 academic year. The data were collected by a semi-structured interview form and analyzed by content analysis. The data obtained from the study were collected in three themes as content, learning process, and evaluation. In the light of the data obtained, it was determined that the easiest subject for the students was biology and the most difficult subject was physics. In addition, during the learning and teaching process, it was revealed that the students wanted most of the practical activities and that they wanted to use materials where visually was more important. Regarding the evaluation process, the students stated that they should be asked questions in the examination to use more logic and knowledge.
