This study investigated physical parameters of semen and biochemical constituents of seminal plasma Salmo trutta abanticus. Semen volume was 7.06 ± 1.32 ml, spermatozoa motility 81.0 ± 9.67 %, duration of spermatozoa movement 101.9. ± 23.01 sec., spermatozoa density 8.890 ± 8.54 × 109 / ml, total spermatozoa density 67.219 ± 73.09 × 109 and semen pH 7.15 ± 0.52. Seminal plasma contained 66.50 ± 8.00 mmol/l Na+, 38.58 ± 6.72 mmol/l K+, 3.17 ± 1.23 mmol/l Ca++, 3.76 ± 1.28 (mEq/l) Mg++, 15.80 ± 13.67 mg/dl glucose, 0.46 ± 0.24 g/dl protein, 46.20 ± 36.02 mg/dl cholesterol, 17.67 ± 22.70 mg/dl triglyceride and 3.40 ± 1.26 mg/dl urea.
