Introduction: Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS) is a rare autosomal recessive ciliopathy associated with at least 26 known genes to date. Its principal clinical features include retinal degeneration, obesity, polydactyly, renal involvement, and neurodevelopmental disorders, necessitating multidisciplinary follow-up. Approximately half of affected individuals present oral-dental anomalies such as hypodontia, enamel hypoplasia, taurodontism, and a high-arched palate, with secondary findings including dental caries and periodontal disease frequently observed as a result. Cooperation difficulties related to developmental delay often render routine outpatient dental treatment impossible in this patient group. Case Report: This case report presents the experience of dental rehabilitation performed under general anesthesia in a 7-year-old male patient diagnosed with BBS. The patient, who presented with central obesity and bilateral polydactyly, was referred to our clinic due to extensive dental caries and inadequate cooperation. The caries lesions and enamel defects identified were consistent with the oral findings reported in BBS. Due 954 to systemic comorbidities (obesity, obstructive sleep apnea), treatment was planned in collaboration with the anesthesiology and pediatrics departments and performed under general anesthesia in a single session. During this session, vital pulp amputation (MTA Angelus) and restoration were performed on tooth 16, pit restorations on teeth 21-22, and composite restorations on teeth 26-46; teeth 55, 63, 64, 65, 36, and 75, whose prognosis was considered unfavorable, were extracted in the same session. Postoperatively, airway safety and recovery were monitored in the intensive care unit due to concomitant obstructive sleep apnea. After approximately four hours of monitoring, the patient was found to be stable, transferred to the ward, and discharged the following day after an uneventful overnight observation. Conclusion: This uncomplicated course underscores the importance of detailed preoperative assessment, appropriate anesthesia planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration for a safe outcome. In pediatric patients who cannot cooperate, comprehensive rehabilitation under general anesthesia in a single session offers a safe and effective treatment option by reducing anesthesia duration and the risks of repeated sedation. In conclusion, dental treatments in individuals with Bardet-Biedl syndrome can be safely performed through the coordinated efforts of pediatric dentistry, anesthesia, and intensive care teams; this case demonstrates that successful dental rehabilitation is achievable with appropriate perioperative management.
