Amaç: Hemşirelerin bilimsel araştırmalara yönelik tutumları hasta bakım kalitesinin artırılması açısından önemlidir. Ancak Türkiye’de bu konuyla ilgili yapılan çalışmaların az sayıda olduğu belirlenmiş olup bu nedenle bu araştırmada bir üniversite hastanesinde çalışan hemşirelerin bilimsel çalışmalara yönelik tutumlarının incelemesi amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı kesitsel tipte olan bu araştırma, bir üniversite hastanesinde çalışan 202 hemşire ile gerçekleştirildi. Veriler yüz yüze görüşme tekniğiyle, Ağustos-Eylül 2019 tarihleri arasında, "Birey Tanıtım Formu” ve “Bilimsel Araştırmaya Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler uygun istatiksel yöntemler kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan hemşirelerin, çoğunun 26-35 yaş aralığında (%42,6), kadın (%76), lisans mezunu (%73) olduğu görülmüştür. Hemşirelerin çoğunun herhangi bir araştırma ekibinde yer almadığı, ancak güncel hemşireliğe ilişkin gelişmeleri izlediği (%66) belirlenmiştir. Bilimsel toplantıya katılan (p<0,001), meslek (p<0,001) veya eğitim (p<0,001) yaşamında araştırma ekibinde yer alan ve yüksek lisans mezunu olan (p<0.01) hemşirelerin bilimsel araştırmalara yönelik olumlu tutum sergilediği saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada, hemşirelerin çoğunun herhangi bir araştırma ekibinde yer almadığı ancak bilimsel araştırmalara yönelik tutumlarının olumlu olduğu görülmüştür. Bu doğrultuda yöneticilerin hastanede bilimsel araştırma yapma konusunda hemşireleri desteklemesi önerilmektedir.
Aim: Nurses' attitudes towards scientific research are important for improving the quality of patient care. However, it has been observed that there are few studies on this topic in our country. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the attitudes of nurses working in a university hospital towards scientific studies. Method: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 202 nurses working in a university hospital. The data were collected between August and September 2019, using the personal introduction form and the attitude scale towards scientific studies, using the face-to-face interview method. The data were analysed using appropriate statistical methods. Results: It was found that most of the nurses who participated in the study were between 26 and 35 years old (42.6%), female (76%), and had a bachelor's degree (73%). It was found that most nurses were not part of a research team, but were following current developments in nursing (66%). Attending a scientific meeting (p<0.001), being part of a research team in professional life (p<0.001) or education (p<0.001), having a master's degree (p<0.01) were factors associated with a positive attitude towards scientific research. Conclusion: This study found that although nurses were not part of a research team, their attitudes towards scientific research were positive. In this regard, it is recommended that managers support nurses in conducting scientific research in the hospital.
