The aims of this study are to determine the eco-efficiency for lemon production in Hatay province, one of the most important citrus production centers of Türkiye. To determine eco-efficiency (energy use efficiency, carbon footprint and water scarcity footprint) in lemon production, agricultural input and output values were considered. The energy use efficiency of lemon production was determined by means of input-output energy analysis, while the carbon footprint was calculated using greenhouse gas emission factors. Furthermore, the water scarcity footprint was evaluated based on total water consumption. According to the study findings, energy use efficiency, specific energy, carbon footprint, environmental prices and water scarcity footprint were calculated to be 1.13, 1.68 MJ kg−1, 0.22 kgCO2‑eq kg−1, 0.03 € kg−1 and 13.53 m3world-eq kg−1, respectively.
