In this study, H. plicatum D.C. subsp. plicatum D.C., H. sanguineum L. and H. stoechas (L.) Moench were investigated for yield and phenolic compound extraction from a total of 30 locations in the Eastern Mediterranean Region of Türkiye. Phenolic compounds were quantified via high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) in methanolic extracts of aerial parts (in full flowering period). The highest extraction yield was found for H. plicatum (H-2), at 19.5%, and the lowest extraction yield was observed for H. stoechas (H-28), at 7.31%. Dendrograms were constructed to show the species distributions according to the phenolic compounds, while PCA was used to determine their relationships. Caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid and kaempferol were the most common compounds found, while epicatechin and luteolin were rare. Specifically, H. sanguineum and H. stoechas had similar phenolic compositions, while H. plicatum was found to be very distinct according to the PCA and dendrogram results. The dendrogram was used to create four groups, in which H. plicatum samples were separated from each other species.
