Abstract

In today’s management approach, leaders should see and adapt developments, changes and innovations to their organizations. Studies about leadership, never lost its importance, are ongoing and glocal leadership is gaining importance for education in the globalizing world. “Glocal” means “thinking globally and acting locally” and the ability of managers to act globally becomes meaningful with the concept of “glocal leadership”. For a glocal educational leadership, educational institutions must be globalised. While global developments affect local understanding in education, local developments contribute to global education research. Education directors should adapt themselves to the changes in line with the requirements of the current era. They renew themselves and show leadership characteristics. Leadership requires achieving goals as an influencing process.
