Özet

Bu çalışma zihinsel engelliler öğretmenlerinin matematik dersinde bilgisayar kullanımına yönelik görüşlerini incelemeye yönelik yapılmış olup, nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması yöntemiyle yürütülmüştür. Çalışmaya beş zihinsel engelliler öğretmeni katılmış olup temel veri toplama aracı olarak görüşme kullanılmıştır. Görüşmeleri destekleyip desteklemediğini incelemek amacıyla gözlemler yapılmış ve elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, öğretmenlerin çoğu matematik derslerinde bilgisayar kullanmaya çalıştıklarını ifade etmişlerdir. Öğretmenler bilgisayarı genellikle matematik derslerinde yaptıkları etkinlikleri görsel olarak desteklemek için kullandıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Ayrıca, öğretmenler bilgisayar yardımıyla hazırlanan etkinliklerin mutlaka sesli olarak hazırlanması gerektiğini dile getirmişlerdir.

The aim of the present study was to examine opinions of the teachers of the mentallyhandicapped toward the use of computers in mathematics course. The study included a case-study method as a qualitative research design. Five teachers of the mentallyhandicapped participated to the study, and interviews were used as the main data collection tool. With an aim to examine whether the interviews are compatible, observations were made and collected data were analyzed via content analysis method. Results of this study point out that many teachers mentioned the fact that they try to use computer in their mathematics courses. In addition, teachers expressed their opinions as that the activities prepared with the help of computers should be given countenance to the voice support.
