Bu çalışmada, Erzurum ilinde satışa sunulan toplam 200 adet Civil peyniri örneği depo akarları bakımından incelendi.Çalışma sonunda, örneklerden sadece birinin (%0.5) Acarus siro ile enfeste olduğu saptandı. Akar pozitif numunede, iki erkek, bir dişi A. siro ile üç adet yumurta tespit edilirken, larva ve nimflere rastlanmadı.Depo akarlarının Civil peynirlerinde üremesini önlemek için, peynir üretiminin ve özellikle muhafazasının hijyenik ortamlarda yapılmasının gerekli olduğu kanaatine varıldı.
In this study, two hundred samples of Turkish traditional Civil cheese sold in Erzurum, Turkey, were examined for the presence of storage mites.Only one species of storage mite, Acarus siro was found in only one sample of 200 Civil cheese samples (0.5%). Two male and one female adult mites and three eggs of mites were determined in the positive cheese sample, whereas no larval and nymphal mites were found.In conclusion, in order to avoid growth of storage mites in Civil cheese, the production and especially storage stages of cheese should be carried out under hygienic and right environmental conditions.
