Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de cumhurbaşkanlığı seçimleri konusunda yapılan tartışmaların nedenleri incelenmiştir. Bu inceleme, cumhurbaşkanının görev ve yetkileri, siyasal sistem içindeki rolü ve seçilme yöntemi ile cumhurbaşkanı seçilecek kişinin özellikleri çerçevesinde yapılmış ve parlamenter sistemin temel ilkeleri doğrultusunda alınması gerekli tedbirler üzerinde durulmuştur.
In this study, the reasons of the discussions made about the Presidential election in Turkey were investigated. In this investigation, the rights and responsibilities of the president, its role in the political system and election method used were investigated from the angle of the characteristic of the person who will be elected and was focused on the measures required to be taken in the direction of the fundamental principles of parliamentary system.
