Biography

Dr. Ayşe KAŞ

Born in Elazığ in 1971, Ayşe Kaş completed her undergraduate studies at Ankara University, Faculty of Languages, History, and Geography (DTCF) between 2010 and 2014, where she double-majored in Persian Language and Literature and Arabic Language and Literature.

Between 2014 and 2018, Kaş completed her Master’s degree in Sufism (Department of Basic Islamic Sciences) at Ankara University, Faculty of Divinity. She subsequently earned her Ph.D. in Arabic Language and Rhetoric (Department of Basic Islamic Sciences) at Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Faculty of Divinity, between 2019 and 2023. During this period, she served as a Persian and Arabic translator for various hospitals and institutions under the Ministry of Health and taught Arabic at private institutions. Between 2020 and 2024, she also taught Persian courses within the EDURESE distance learning program at Yıldırım Beyazıt University.

Kaş has been serving as an Arabic teacher for the Ministry of National Education (MEB) since 2022. Her writing career began in her childhood; her published works include “Happy Birthday, My Prophet” (2012) and “My Childhood, a Snowdrop Story: If a Child Writes a Memoir” (2019). Additionally, her works “Humanity through the Eyes of an Educator” (Jan 2024), “Tattered Dresses” (Author: Nahid Tabatabai, Translation: Ayşe Kaş, April 2024), and “A Comparison of Persian-Arabic-Turkish Children's Literature in Terms of Imagology” (May 2024) were published recently. Her articles and poems are also featured on numerous websites.

Since November 2024, she has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Islamic Sciences, Division of Arabic Language and Rhetoric, at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Faculty of Divinity. Ayşe Kaş is married and has two children.
